Imitate Me

Hi There!

It's been a little too long, and I have been pondering several blog posts in my head....but haven't actually gotten to the computer to type them out.

Earlier today I was pondering my behavior and realizing how ugly I had acted out.  I was convicted of the example I had set for my kids....although no one was actually watching me at the time...I know my Father was watching me.

If you have kids you have seen this play out over and over.  Sometimes my girls want to put on my makeup, dress up in my clothes and shoes, or say things in just the exact same way I would say something.  It cracks me up!

There are those times though that they say and do things that are really ugly....and then you realize...it came straight from you and the example that you had shown them.  Ugh! Thats when I feel like God works on my heart the most!

A little after my flesh got the best of me Jack was eating his lunch and throwing it on the floor.  I told him, "No, No!"  What did he say in response?? "No, No!!"  Don't you just love it?!?!  He is learning to talk and put words together, so he mimics everything I say and how I say it.  He even shakes his little finger....just like I do!

So.....what has God taught me today??

My actions and words should be a reflection of Him constantly.  Little eyes and ears are watching constantly.  

Learning. 

Taking it in. 

Mimicking.

Imitating!

This is something I know, but a sweet reminder from the Lord today.  Hopefully this will be a sweet reminder to you too!
