Tiny Talk Tuesday

These are my new running shoes....YES, don't pass out, I've started running. Thanks to my sweet husband who has been training and encouraging me, and my friend Morgan who is also starting to run and has been an encouragement as well!

The other day we went shoe shopping and Spice was very interested in why I was getting new shoes, etc.. While we were in the shoe shop she said, "I know why you need new shoes mommy! It's because you stepped in dog poop!" Not sure if anyone heard, but she announced it loud enough! She was correct though, I had stepped in dog poop a few days before!!

Tiny Talk Tuesday

As I mentioned yesterday, Spice and I had a girls night out on Saturday night. As were were enjoying our dinner, two other laddies sat in the booth behind Spice. Apparently they were having a ladies night out too! Now, imagine Spice sitting down at kid height. She turns around to look behind to see who sat down. (not sure where she got that nosiness from???ha!) I wasn't paying too much attention to the girl, but only noticed that someone was sitting there. Spice then says (in her outside voice), "Mama, why does that lady not have on any clothes???" Appalled, I look up from my food to see the girl behind Spice with bare shoulders. I laughed out loud and told her that she had on a shirt called a tube top, and those shirts do not cover your shoulders. She could not see the top of the tube top, so it was so hilarious to look at the girl from how she was looking at her!! She really did look like she had no shirt on!! HA! The picture is not very good, but I tried hard to get it from her view.

TIny Talk Tuesday

My mom started this thing with Spice where she would say, "I love you to the stars and back!" Spice thought that was funny and liked to repeat it back. One day I said that to her, then I went through all the planets saying I love you to Mars and back, I love you to Jupiter and back (you get the picture). When I said, "I love you to Pluto and back!" she replied with "I love you to Mickey Mouse and back!" She is an avid Mickey Mouse Clubhouse fan! So this is just our little game now and it is something that has been going on for a while. Well, today I said, "I love you to Pluto and back!" She said, "I love you to Jesus and back!" My heart just melted, I just thought that was so sweet, something I will not forget!

Tiny Talk Tuesday

Timelines:
Spice is starting to understand timelines and the order we do things in. Many times if she is getting frustrated about when something is going to happen like go to the park, we usually say this:
“Here is the deal, we will first eat lunch, then go to the bathroom, get the wagon, then go to the park.” Using this method she has quickly come to understand that some things are not immediate. She now likes to also come up with her own “deal”! For some reason she first likes to say…
“Let me tell you the truth!”
“Here’s the deal…”
As she points to her fingers she goes through her things she would like to do…
“First we will have a snack, then we will get some gum, then go to the bathroom, then we will go to the park!”
It is really funny to see her getting the concepts of an order, and it is really funny to see the things that are important to her…like gum!!!

Tiny Talk Tuesday...1st Words

This week's talking post is in honor of Miss. Sugar. She is starting to blab more, and say her own little things. She can say "Mama", "Dada", "Dog", "Bye", "Bird", and an occasional "Duck". Most of the time anything that moves, is animated, or resembles any type of animal she calls a "dog", except for me, Mr. Nice, or Spice. Tonight we were outside, I was holding Sugar in my arms while looking up at our trees, she looked up as well, and said "BIRD"!! Yeah! I guess she has been reading my blog or is on a bird kick like myself! HA!

Tiny Talk Tuesday...Being Literal!

Ok, Tiny Talk is BACK! I started this in August, and never posted again. Here we go again, I will do better this time. Spice is such a talker and seems to always say one thing a day that makes me laugh. So please join in on the fun with what your tiny talker is saying. To get started read the rules here:


BEING LITERAL:
This weekend we made a quick one day trip to see Nanny, Mr. Nice’s grandmother. It was a 3 ½ hour drive one way. On the way home it was dark, we were all tired and pretty much ready to get in our beds. Leave it up to Miss. Spice to make us laugh. As we were riding in the dark, I turned on the overhead light in the car to do something. Spice wanted to keep it on, but we told her no. She of course at the age of 2 ½ wants to know WHY??? Mr. Nice explained in great detail how it is hard to see at night, we wanted to be safe, we did not want to blind other drivers, and he did not want to have an accident. After pondering this for a moment she replied with, “If you leave the light on will you wet your pants?” It took us a second to get it, but it sure did make us laugh when we did!
