August 2005, August 2009, and August 2013.
Within these three months there have been three distinct moments with three distinct calls that have wreaked my heart three times.
These are the three moments I heard that my mom had cancer, that it was back, and that it was back again.
Words can not even express the pain and grieving my heart feels for my mom.
I love her, and I hate seeing her go through this.
My mom had a scan and got the results last week that there were three new (small) spots on her vertebrate.
She will have a PET scan Tuesday.
PLEASE PRAY. PRAY it's no where else. PRAY for her heart to be comforted. PRAY for her doctors.
We find the most comfort in knowing God is in control! My mom told me that God had carried her through this before and He will do it again.
My mom is strong, but God is stronger....He will sustain her and take care of her.
He is our, Jehovah-Rophe, the One Who Heals!
I love you Mama!!!
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.
If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge-- then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
"Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."
Psalm 91
