Snips, Snails, and Puppy Dog Tails....

We are having a BOY!

**you will have to use your imagination on how cute the pictures for this post would be...after writing this I realized that I had messed up some function on my camera and they would not download properly...bummer...maybe I will figure it out soon** (camera savy people...I shot in RAW..what does that mean??)

Typing out boy is still a little strange for me even after knowing for three days now! Don't get me wrong...we are EXTREMELY happy to be having a sweet little boy, but my mindset has been all things girly since I found out I was pregnant with Spice five years ago.  Now we get to switch gears and focus on trains, cars, sports, and mud!  Even though my girls would be very willing to play in mud if I would let them!

We found out at the doctor on Tuesday that not only were we having a boy, but everything was looking healthy and perfect.  I feel humbled and blessed to have gotten a very healthy report.  We decided to tell the girls by having a "Big Sister" party when Mr. Nice got home from work.  It was hard not to tell the girls when I picked them up from preschool, but we kept busy by decorating for our little party!

When Mr. Nice got home, I was able to finish getting everything ready.  I had picked up little cupcakes with blue icing on top for the big reveal! (Too bad I did not think to take a picture of a cupcake before everyone dug in, but my brain is not fully functioning these days.)

The girls opend their cupcake boxes to see the surprise.  Spice got it and truly understood...I think Sugar was just excited that she got a cupcake before dinner!  After our cupcake treat we headed outside for a pinata! The girls had fun taking whacks at it, but enjoyed the treats the most!

We are so excited to meet our baby boy in a few months...now to work on a name! Speaking of names...I guess my blog name might have to change!? What do you think??

  1. I can help with the RAW shooting! I know that I can import them into iPhoto and they will automatically convert to jpeg format. If your photo program won't import them, your camera probably came with some photo software called ACR or something like that. You can message me on facebook if you have any more questions :) I only shoot in RAW since I do a lot of editing, and that's really the only reason you would do it.

Congrats on the baby boy! I know you will have a lot of fun :)
