I do!
Every month when I get my Southern Living in the mail I seriously get giddy. I know that might sound silly, but it is like someone has sent me a little present...well actually someone has. My mother-in-law has been faithfully sending me a subscription to Southern Living for a few years now and oh how I LOVE IT!
When I read I find great home ideas that I love, beautiful gardening ideas, yummy recipes and just other fun eye candy. I always intend to pull out my favorite things and make a notebook, but then I think....I would literally be tearing out every page!
I used to get Cottage Living as well, but as most of you Cottage Living fans know that got canned. I'm not sure why, but I am STILL upset about it and STILL holding on to just about every Cottage Living that was ever published!
Speaking of which, that is why I am writing this post...
I need your help!
I have been cleaning out my "Cloffice" and I came to the realization that if I do not get rid of some of these magazines you might see me on a bad episode of Hoarders.
So, what do I do?? What do you do??
*Chunk Them?
*Pull out what I like?
*Give them away?
*Put them in the attic?
Thanks for your help!

I totally read magazines! They are my favorite thing to spend 5 dollars on! I save them for a year and go through them when I need inspiration.:)
ReplyDeleteReal Simple is one of my fave.
My name is Nancy and I am a magazine-a-holic. Seriously, I love them all. When they come in the mail, it is a glorious day. I have a binder that I call my idea folder. I have a tab for entertaining, gardening, house projects, kid activities. I just tear out, staple, punch holes and put it in. Dreamy I tell you. Recipes just go in my recipe binder.
ReplyDeleteI love magazines!! When I get rid of them, I recycle them. That's a lot of paper to just throw away. I was going to say what the person above me said (Nancy) about keeping a folder with articles and ideas that you like. Good luck!! :)
ReplyDeleteI throw mine away after a few months.
ReplyDeleteLOVE magazines too! I go through mine every 3-4 months, tear out the pages I like and file them in an accordian folder. As I'm going back through them for home inspiration, I'm really regretting though that I didn't also save the resources pages in the back--a treasure chest for information like paint colors and fabric names. Oh well, I think I'll include them in the future! Love the baskets. What a fun way to organize! Mine are currently spread throughout the house-basket in the den, beside table in the guest bedroom. It can get a bit out of control!
ReplyDeleteI always donate mine to the Bartlett Library...
ReplyDeleteI love magazines too...and i have not been spending as much $ on them since i have found so many wonderful blogs to read. No help here because I have a big cabinet in the basement filled with them. Thinking about getting rid of them but keeping my cottage living...they are always fun to go back to!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend! Oh and i loved your what I wore post, you are so cute!
I do like lauren and go through them every few months & tear out pages that interest me. Then I recycle them or give them to a friend. So many articles & info can be found on the internet though. Southern Living posts alot of their articles on their website.
