All Good Things Must Come to an End!

Summer is almost over and I can hardly believe it! Last week we ended the summer with a bang on our annual retreat to the beach!!! It was so fun, relaxing and enjoyable. We go every year with my in-laws, sister-in-law, and brother in law. Over the past three years there has been a new kid at the beach, first it was Spice, then Sugar, this year it was Ford. He was a trooper with Sugar and Spice lovin’ on him and all in his business during tummy time.

Our daily schedule went something like this:
6:00 - rise and shine (I’m not sure why my kids think they need to get up an hour early than normal while we are on vacay!)
8:00 – breakfast (usually prepared by Chef Joe….aka: BoomPa)
9:00 – hit the beach: set up our spot with baby tent, baby pool (filled with salt water), spread out toys, spread beach towels on chairs
9:00 – 11:00 play on beach with random visits to the pool, ocean, or a walk along the beach
11:30 – lunch
12:00 – nap…..well maybe??? Again my kids found sleepy time difficult!
12:30 – ride around in car, get kiddos to sleep
1:00 – back to beach or relax inside
4:00 – shower/baths/get dressed for dinner in or out
5:15 – leave for dinner or start cooking (we ate out at three yummy places: Louisiana Lagniappe, Captain Dave’s, and Acme Oyster House)
7:00 – playtime after dinner (walk on the beach, family photos)
8:00 – bedtime for kiddos…YEAH RIGHT! (again..drive around!)
**A few nights we did some late night shopping at 8:00-9:00 once the kids were asleep

A tropical storm hit on Sunday night, so we opted to go shopping on Monday, b/c it was cloudy!

We had a wonderful trip!!
