Ears (part 2)

Sugar's tubes are in her ears and she is doing great! Wednesday was a big day as we woke up at 5:00 to get ready for the outpatient procedure. We had to be at the outpatient office at 6:30. It was really sad when we had to get her dressed in her little yellow hospital gown and id bracelet. I thought I would have a hard time handing her over to the nurses as they took her back, but since she was distracted with her new toy from "the bunny tunnel" I was OK. So we waited, which was not long at all. Probably about thirty minutes before the doctor came to tell us everything was great! The hard part for me was when I could hear her crying when she had come out of anesthesia and I could not be with her right then. Not long after they called us back to hold her. She was asleep on the little hospital bed starting to wake up. This was really hard for me. The nurse asked if we wanted to hold her, and OF COURSE we said YES!!! Once she was in our arms she just wanted to sleep. We finally had to take her passy away so she would really wake up and get her dressed. By 9:30 we were in the car on the way home. Although I worried over this, I knew God was in control. Again I am thankful that this was a fairly routine procedure, not something more serious! If you are reading this and you do have child that is in and out of the hospital or doctors offices for whatever reason I am praying for you tonight!

"I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.
I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High. "
PSALM 9:1-2

  1. What a precious lil trooper! Praise the Lord she is doing well and praying for her as she continues to heal to healthy baby Caroline!
    Love u sweet grl!

  2. How precious these pictures are this morning. I remember 13 years ago feeling all those same experiences as we sent Lauren off to have tubes in her ears. So hard to let them go into another's hands, isn't it? Now she is 15, and I have to let her go over and over again. Treasure these precious moments...every one.

    Easter blessings to you,

I delight in your comments..please leave one for us!:)
